Whether you’re looking for full-service assisted living or memory care, or independent living options, Southlake has a lot to offer. Texas is a beautiful place to spend your retirement, with more beautiful and sunny days than most of the United States has year-round. When it’s time to look into retirement options, consider Southlake. Here’s a list of five of the best retirement homes in Southlake, Texas.

Watermere at Southlake

This 67-acre planned community offers those 55 and over a variety of housing options. You’ll find villas and condos to purchase on the senior living portion of the campus. Some villas even come with fenced-in yards, with most having at least a green space for you to enjoy. The condos are found in a four-story mid-rise that offers elevators to its residents. While the condos are slightly smaller than the villas, you’ll enjoy the convenience of the clubhouse attached for easy access.

You have your choice of one or two-story villas in one of two gated communities. You’ll enjoy both a front and back porch and attached garages if you go with a villa. Owning your home provides you with a sound investment and certain tax advantages, along with the ability to customize your living space any way you see fit. At Watermere, you’ll be surrounded by neighbors who are all at least 55 years of age. Children and grandchildren are welcome to visit or even stay a couple of weeks, but permanent residents must meet the minimum age requirement.

The best part of Watermere is the activities and amenities. You can work out in the fitness center and yoga room or meet up with a friend for a glass of wine at the Lounge. Residents can stop by the library at Watermere to borrow a book or play a round of poker in the game room.

You’ll even find a salon where you can get your hair cut and colored before dinner in La Mer, a fine dining restaurant just steps away from your front door. The third floor offers a media room so that you can gather to watch your favorite movies. Local attractions also include museums, parks, the Winstar Casino, and the Sky Creek Golf Ranch Golf Club.

Discovery Village at Southlake

If you’re interested in spending your retirement in an apartment home, then Discovery Village is the place for you. They offer indoor and outdoor areas as well as five unique apartment styles for independent living with either one or two bedrooms. You’ll enjoy hardwood floors throughout the apartment and carpeted bedrooms, a lovely kitchen with stainless appliances and wood cabinetry, and access to the patio to enjoy time outdoors.

At Southlake, residents indulge in complimentary maintenance and housekeeping services to provide more time to do what you want to do instead of taking care of your home. The community has a splendid activity director who schedules daily activities for everyone, such as movie nights, art projects, happy hours, and game nights. You’ll also discover water aerobics, dancing, and other activities to stretch your muscles.

Solstice Senior Living at Grapevine

Truewood offers multiple dining areas, a library, community rooms, an outdoor patio, garden, and interior courtyard. You’ll enjoy a full-time concierge, 24-hour staff, chef-prepared meals, weekly housekeeping, and home maintenance. Your pet is welcome to live with you in your apartment at Truewood because fur-babies are family.

You can also enjoy gourmet coffee, candy sweets, casual breakfast or lunch, grab and go, and fresh sandwiches or salads at Counter-Offer. Who are we calling?
How do we reach you?

The number our team should call you back on.

What is the visit for?

What hurts, how long it has been going on, and anything you have already tried. A sentence or two is plenty.

For example, mornings, or after 3pm.

Build notes, not patient copy.

The form posts to /api/request-a-call-PLACEHOLDER, a placeholder. The real endpoint is chosen after the HIPAA memo and lands with a signed BAA. On success it redirects to /thank-you/, which is what makes the submission measurable.
