Workers Compensation

Call (817) 382-6789 to have this looked at, or book online with Dr. Knight.

At the Hand and Wrist Institute, Dr. John Knight has over 25 years of experience in the treatment of industrial injuries to the hand and upper extremities.

Dr. Knight provides quality and efficient care to ensure that injured workers can return back to their jobs as soon as possible. Dr. Knight will work with the employer and insurance carrier to return you to modified work as soon as possible. Dr. Knight, first and foremost, is a patient advocate and will always do what is in the injured workers’ best interest. If represented by an attorney, Dr. Knight will work with the attorney to bring the case to a successful conclusion as soon as possible.

The Hand and Wrist Institute has a dedicated line for the worker’s compensation carrier to get a work status promptly. However this is not utilized very often as Dr. Knight provides 24 hour report turn around that is immediately sent to the carrier and attorneys so there is no reason for a delay in care.

While Dr. Knight has a very busy practice, there is seldom any significant time spent sitting in the waiting room. He will perform a comprehensive exam and order appropriate tests. He will aggressively deal with the typical utilization review company denials and delays to get your treatment approved to prevent unnecessary delay and suffering. Conservative care is always the rule initially. If surgery is necessary, Dr. Knight will perform the most minimally invasive procedure possible to minimize scarring, allowing for a quicker recovery. Once the injured worker has recovered, Dr. Knight will perform an accurate impairment rating with over 25 years of experience in performing AMA ratings.

What is the visit for?

What hurts, how long it has been going on, and anything you have already tried. A sentence or two is plenty.

For example, mornings, or after 3pm.

Build notes, not patient copy.

The form posts to /api/request-a-call-PLACEHOLDER, a placeholder. The real endpoint is chosen after the HIPAA memo and lands with a signed BAA. On success it redirects to /thank-you/, which is what makes the submission measurable.
