GANGLION CYST SURGERY

GANGLION CYST SURGERY Transcript and details

The transcript below is YouTube's automatic one. Anatomy terms are the words the machine heard, so a few of them are wrong. The practice is proofreading them.

Description (channel copy)

Watch Dr. Knight as he carefully removes a volar wrist ganglion cyst. He mobilizes and protects the radial artery and removed the large cyst down to the wrist joint.

Transcript

A volar ganglion excision begins with a skin incision localized directly over the mass. You can see I'm dividing the skin and fat exposing the cyst beneath. Now, I'm carefully exposing the radial

artery, which is adherent to the cyst wall. I'm going to carefully retract the radial artery away from the cyst. Now, I'm going to carefully dissect around the periphery of this large multi- lobulated

ganglion cyst. Now, you can see a the nice stalk or root of the cyst going down into the radiocarpal joint. You can see here where I penetrate the stalk and will suction all of the gelatinous

or very thick contents from the cyst. Now you can see where I divide the stalk of the cyst as deep as possible and remove the cyst.

What is the visit for?

What hurts, how long it has been going on, and anything you have already tried. A sentence or two is plenty.

For example, mornings, or after 3pm.

Build notes, not patient copy.

The form posts to /api/request-a-call-PLACEHOLDER, a placeholder. The real endpoint is chosen after the HIPAA memo and lands with a signed BAA. On success it redirects to /thank-you/, which is what makes the submission measurable.

Fields built and held: Date of birth, Street address, Insurance carrier. Reason on each field in src/data/booking-form.ts.
